A few of my favourite images from my final wedding of 2011. A beautiful day considering how late in the year was. Congratulations to Vicky and Adrian. (A little bit shorter on the text for this post as I felt I was waffling on a bit in previous posts. I would rather let the images…

Lyns and Ash | Sandycove, Berrynarbor | Devon Wedding Photography

Sometimes I sit here pondering for too long on where to start writing about each wedding I blog. Then I get writers block. Then it all goes wrong. So here’s Lyn’s and Ash’s amazing wedding I was honoured to shoot last year. It was also the first time I had worked with Robert Whetton (http://blog.rjwhetton.co.uk/)…

Good all round set of images, particularly like the detail shots on the stool, the drinking/dancing shots look great, looked like they had a lot of fun that night!

Stuart Webster - 01/17/2012 - 8:57 pm

A fabulous set Matt, your images build a great story of what looks like a great day. 26 made me laugh and 32 is beautiful.

Matt Tyler - 01/17/2012 - 9:07 pm

Fantastic set of photos Matt. I particularly love the dancing shots in the evening. Looks like it was a great time had by all. The black and white portrait of the boxer is gorgeous!

Ash Bryant - 01/17/2012 - 9:09 pm

Thanks Matt & Rob for these great images you both captured for us to look back and remember what a great day it was. You both are truly great photographers that love doing what you do, which I think you can tell by the images you take.

You both went above & beyond the role of wedding photographer, and became friends that are wedding photographers.

I can’t recommend Matt (& Rob) enough.

Peter Burkwood - 01/18/2012 - 2:54 pm

Another job well done Mr Fryer, love the beach one with the dog, smashing!

I could waffle on about this lovely homemade wedding for pages and pages but you would all get bored. So I’ll try and keep it short and sweet. I had known about the location and some of the details about Rob and Anna’s big day for a while, but never got to meet them properly…

A solid set Matt. My favourite being the ones at the side of the cliff. Your BW edits are pretty amazing, im a sucker for BW images.

John Starns - 01/13/2012 - 3:46 pm

Great collection of images Matt. I particularly like the monochrome of the Bride and Groom outside the church (18/30). Lovely processing!

Stuart Webster - 01/13/2012 - 4:54 pm

Another fabulous set Matt a strong narrative, great individual shots and lots of fun. I particularly like 17&20.

It is not often I don’t get to meet a set of clients before their day but with their work commitments and time constraints I only got to chat with the couple on skype video calls a couple of times. But I knew from our first chat they were one cool set of clients and…

Paul Andrews - 01/09/2012 - 7:55 pm

A fab set of photo as ever Matt your connection with them really comes through, and I love a vw camper at a wedding. Good work.

John Johnston - 01/09/2012 - 8:45 pm

What a fun wedding. How cool is that VW. Love the shots on the beach. Just perfect.

Matt Fryer - 01/09/2012 - 8:47 pm

Cheers for the feedback guys, it certainly was a fun filled day Buster the VW is a legend, nothing like an early bay window bus to make me smile.

Andy Rapkins - 01/12/2012 - 6:57 pm

North Devon Wedding Photography | Looking back at 2011

This isn’t really a “best of 2011″ post more of a retrospective look back at the year and what an amazing year it has been. The images I have chosen are a snap shot from weddings and engagement shoots I have shot throughout 2011 (and it’s not all of them, some I can’t share with…

Cracking set of images Mr Fryer, I have to say image 16 (left) is my favourite, one for above the mantelpiece.

That said a really solid and consistent job done all year, well done mate.

P

Matt Fryer - 01/05/2012 - 1:55 pm

Cheers Peter. 16 is a good shot, I have to admit it was a choice between that and the one I chose. The veill in 16 left added some extra dimension to the shot. But the one I chose was my first wedding at that venue, so holds a special place for me.

John Starns - 01/05/2012 - 2:00 pm

Some impressive work there Matt. I especially like image 21 (right) nice work fella! JS

Matt Fryer - 01/05/2012 - 2:02 pm

Cheers mate.

Stuart Webster - 01/05/2012 - 2:52 pm

You clearly had a fabulous year Matt the joy, happienss and love of each speacial day comes through in you images. 13 left would be my choice if pushed but they all say so much.

Have a great 2012. Stuart

Howard Lucas - 01/19/2012 - 11:32 am

What a year!….looks like you get a lot of fun. Cracking portraits.

Click Here >>>> Woolacombe Wedding Panoramic The 5th of November normally conjures up images of bonfires, fireworks and wrapping up warm. But this year I spent that weekend doing something very very different. The Saturday was spent with my associate photographer, Howard, photographing a double wedding at the Watersmeet Hotel in Woolacombe. It was such…

Really great set of images Matt, and an amazing venue!

Matt Fryer - 11/24/2011 - 10:29 pm

Cheers mate, it was a really great day and such an amazing venue. Hard to believe it’s in the UK and on my doorstep. Well not actually on my doorstep, but a short drive from my doorstep.

North Devon Wedding Photography | Lundy Island | Matt Fryer Photography

This year in May I was fortunate enough to be asked to cover an amazing wedding on the Island of Lundy way out in the Bristol Channel off the coast of North Devon. Despite summer knocking on the door the weather that weekend wasn’t the best, but it didn’t stop this amazing wedding. 3 days…

Tunnels Beaches Wedding Photography | Wil and Sam | Sneak Peak

A few sneak peak shots from Wil and Sam’s gorgeous, small and intimate wedding at the amazing venue of Tunnels beaches in Ilfracombe this weekend just gone. It’s not often I post sneak peaks but I managed to get the ok from the bride and groom before they jetted off on honeymoon. From the numerous…

Thank you very much, means a lot to me. I am particularly proud of that shot too..

Sarah Moyle - 09/07/2011 - 1:42 pm

Brilliant pics Matt, can’t wait to see the rest! Thankyou for helping to make Wil & Sam’s big day so special. You worked so hard, you must be exhausted, but it seemed like you were enjoying the day as much as we were. By anyone’s standard, a working day from 11.30a.m until 1.00 in the morning is exceptional! It felt like you were a welcome part of the family and we can’t thank you enough ( and a special thanks from Dan for the impromptu photography masterclass!) Don’t forget we live in a beautiful part of the world,(Cockermouth) so if you fancy a change of scenery and want to take advantage of the beautiful Northern Lake District we would be more than happy to find room for you. Best wishes and many thanks Sarah Moyle (Wil’s mum).
