This weekend saw me a little closer to home, Saunton Sands to be exact. A really fun wedding with a lovely couple. Wishing you all the best guys. This shot was taken as we tried to take a few quiet shots on the beach. Jumping, bride on a surfboard are just a few of what we ended up with. So much fun and pretty much summed up the fun and friendship these guys had. Taken with 3 speedlites, all shot ttl, one camera left, one camera right and the master on camera set to lower power to add fill flash. Works ok, but could have done with more power.
I know I only post one shot per week for my 52 project but I wanted to publically thank my assistnat David Rufus for going that little extra this weekend in the name of getting the shot right. As you’ll see below we took a few shots beside the pool at Saunton Sands Hotel. The lighting we set up wasn;t really doing it for me, not enough punch. Normally this would be ok as we would move the lights closer to the subject adjust a few settings and bingo, but for these shots it seemed impossible, until David rolled up trousers and walked out into the pool on a slippy ledge. Cheers mate, you’re a star.
