I don’t just shoot weddings and lifestyle portraits you know.. I shoot a lot of other things too, normally involving people and places though..
Yesterday saw me on a manic mission to cover several prom night portrait shoots in a very short space of time. Thankfully all were in very close proximity of each other and the mission was successful.
From all accounts the night was a huge success and Charlotte (stood by Mr Bonjangles VW camper) was crowned prom queen. Huge congratulations Charlotte.
It was a pleasure and honour to capture these shots for proud parents and friends to admire..

A quick post from me today and not wedding related either, this post is let you all know that I don’t just shoot weddings. But I also shoot lifestyle portraits too.
Living in such an amazing area as North Devon, why waste the opportunity that we have on our door step. I also find that taking kids out of the studio environment brings out their true personalities and characters and allows me to get some real shots of them not forced poses and smiles in a studio somewhere.

The other reason for this post is to kinda announce I have some new flash triggers and that’s what prompted my little photoshoot with my boys this morning. Check out my other site soon for a full review on the amazing Phottix Odin triggers I have just acquired. These little beauties are amazing.

It’s always great to shoot a couples wedding but to continue to photograph them after the wedding as they grow as a family is always special. Last year I was privileged to be asked to shoot some new born photographs for Adam and Karen and their newborn son, Oliver.

Now a year on Oliver is walking and they asked me back for a lifestyle portrait session. It was a great session down on Saunton beach and great to see Oliver growing up fast.

One from back in the summer months last year. A great little engagement shoot which took place over at Westward Ho! pebble ridge. We chose pretty much one of the longest days of the year so to capture the sunset we didn’t start the session until early evening but waiting that little bit later it gave us some amazing light as you can see.
I can’t wait until Caroline and Allan’s wedding this year. From what I know already it is going to be one pretty special day and I excited to photograph it.

My main wedding season maybe over but preparations for next year are well under way, with enquiries, bookings, meetings and pre wedding e-shoots happening all the time. In fact I am just as busy now as I was in the middle of the summer. That’s why I am stoked to be able to share with a very recent engagement shoot I had with an amazing couple who are getting married in one of the most picturesque venues here in North Devon. We meet at the manor house to discuss the plans for their big day next year then took a walk around the grounds to capture some photo’s. On the exposed grassland overlooking the coast it was a bit blustery to say the least but in the shelter of the woodland it was idyllic for a few more romantic tender shots. With the dull overcast weather on the day not really lending itself to such stunning vista type shots the use of a little creative off camera flash work brought some otherwise flat images to life.
I had such a great afternoon I now can’t wait to be part of Paul and Jennifer’s big day next year.

With a mobile studio set up I am able to tailor shoot days to suit your location and ages of children. Like all my photography I aim to keep each session fun and relaxed and work to produce portraits that you are proud of and proud to share amongst family and friends.

I have a number of print / canvas packages to suit most budgets as well as individual prints and disc only options. Single prints from £4.50 and Canvas prints from £40.
My pre-school, nursery and playgroup portrait sessions are free, with a healthy percentage of sales being paid back to you as commission. Proof prints and order forms are returned to you with 7 days and prints / canvases being delivered with 14 days of receiving the orders back.

If on the day of the shoot your child is ill and unable to attend or is unwilling to be photographed, then I am available for private sittings to make sure we get the best possible images of your child.
