A lovely wedding I was honoured to photography in my home village of Woolacombe. James and Helen got married at the beautiful church of St Mary’s in Mortehoe and then onto James’s Dad’s pub for the reception. Having grown up in Woolacombe and run a green grocery there for 13 years prior to becoming a photographer a lot of the guests were old friends and acquaintances, which is always great to catch up with.
I wish Helen and James all the very best for the future and I know I’ll be seeing more of Helen throughout the season as she works at one of my more popular hotel venues in Woolacombe – The Woolacombe Bay.

Jo and James wedding at the stunning venue of Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe was my first wedding of my 3 wedding weekend but my last to be previewed on my blog.
It was such another amazing day at this amazing venue. Such a relaxed atmosphere where the emphasis was on having fun and a good party. The day was a very relaxed affair which always makes for some great images, then then evening was lead by a very talented trio of musicians in the ever popular ceilidh dancing. Something that is sure to get everybody up on the dance floor. I also learnt the fine art of under leg stone skimming too thanks to a couple of guests and the groom..

Huge congratulations to not only Jo and James but to all 3 of my couples from this amazing triple wedding weekend. I wish you all the very best for the future.

So pleased to be able to share with you an other of my weddings from this weekend just gone. Claire and Terry got married at the amazing and stunning venue of the Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe. What a day. The weather was kinda of on our side by staying dry, but regardless they had the amazing Sorrelli Strings play for the guests before and shortly after the ceremony, flowers courtesy of Goodenough Flowers and some of the finest bbq wedding food I have ever had care of chefs Craig and Dom.. We also had some classic air guitar displays from several guests and a huge amount of fun all day. Enjoy these sneak preview images.

It was a mammoth 3 days for me this weekend with 3 weddings at 2 different venues but so much fun. This is the first sneak preview from Saturdays wedding at Stoodleigh Court, Nr Tiverton. I started out this morning just wanting to send Ollie and Kate a few quick edits from their day before their honeymoon, but I got carried away and sent them all these… Hopefully the images will tell the story of this amazing day but what you won’t know is that the bride sang the most amazing version of “Sweet child o mine” with the band which pretty much brought the the roof down. An amazing thing to hear.. Also we had a photo booth up and running for the guests to go wild in during the evening, this was run my multi talented assistant Bob Whetton who also second shot with me for the day. Thanks mate for your help..

My first wedding at the Tunnels Beaches, Ilfracombe, kicked off in style in mid April with the stunning wedding of Lyn and Dan. The weather could not have been kinder to us. Beautiful sunny skies with just enough cloud to add some shade at times. Perfect.
Congratulations guys, I wish you all the very best for the future and thank you for letting me part of your special day.

Sharon and James choose the stunning venue of Saunton Sands as the location for their wedding back in late march and thankfully the weather was kind to us. A beautiful day that saw me get sunburnt.. Not that hard with my balding bonce!!
It was a great day with loads of laugh and fun. We even managed to head down to the beach around sunset time for a few beach shots, which I love doing.

It’s always great to shoot a couples wedding but to continue to photograph them after the wedding as they grow as a family is always special. Last year I was privileged to be asked to shoot some new born photographs for Adam and Karen and their newborn son, Oliver.

Now a year on Oliver is walking and they asked me back for a lifestyle portrait session. It was a great session down on Saunton beach and great to see Oliver growing up fast.

The pre wedding shoots don’t always have to be shot in stunning weather. This fun shoot saw it all, some strong winds, some rain even a hail storm. But one things was consistent through out was the fun we had. Plenty of laughs and smiles.
I should have really posted this e-shoot a while ago now as the stunning wedding of Amy and Neil has just recently happened and what a stunning day it was. A sneak peak will be on-line shortly.
But for now enjoy these shots from our pre wedding engagement shoot down on Combe Martin Beach in North Devon.

The pre-wed shoot is a concept from our american fellow photographers, the concept is now growing in popularity over here and it is something I offer as standard to all my clients who book for to shoot their wedding.
This lovely fun session took place down on Croyde beach one morning and I am now really looking forward to shoot Claire and Terry’s wedding later this year.
