Looking back over Chris and Emma’s images from their amazing Tunnels Beaches wedding, brings back so many amazing memories of one very special day.
Chris and Emma booked me over a year ago and since then we have got to know each through social media so come the wedding it was like photographing a wedding of old friends.
The day started a little overcast and the odd hint of rain but it certainly didn’t dampen the day at all. Far from it, love and laughter were the order of the day.
Most weddings I am split between photographing the bridal prep, venue shots and some groom shots before the ceremony but for this wedding Chris and Emma had requested a second photographer, so it was a great honour to shoot alongside an old friend and fellow photographer Stuart from Reids Photography. Stu was so stoked to photograph a Tunnels wedding he flew all the way from Scotland for it!!
As the morning progressed it was soon time for the ceremony, however the rain wasn’t quite done yet, so umbrellas at the ready, Emma and her bridal party made their way through the Tunnel to Chris.
A beautiful ceremony with the addition of Tilly the couples dog took place on the terrace over looking the sea, even in the drizzle it was still an amazing view.
After the ceremony the party started.. Drinks, canapes, a magician and even a caricaturist were all on hand to get the party started right.. After an eventful time trying to get the family informals done, first it was dry then it rained, the gourmet BBQ was ready, although I was a little late for the speeches (Don’t worry Stuart had them covered!) as I was getting my caricature drawn, at the couples request…
After the meal the sun finally made an appearance, just in time for my favourite shots of the day down on the ladies beach with the couple. The WOW sunset shots. I love these shots..
As the day turned into night Paul from The Wedding Spinners, set up and was ready to help the guest party the night away..
Just before Stuart and I made our way home, we had to get the sparkler shots, I love these shots as each one is always different and very unique to the couple..
Enjoy the images and if you or anyone you are planning on getting married, please do get in touch to discuss my wedding photography.
Finally before I sign off from this post, I just want to wish Chris and Emma the biggest of congratulations. The build up to your wedding has been amazing and I shall miss our emails and chats. I look forward to welcoming you to the man cave for those beers soon!!! Huge love guys and I wish you all the very best for the future..
