Harry and Kate got married.. And what a day it was. The weather wasn’t the greatest for the time of year but that has been the norm I’m sad to say this year.
They chose the stunning scenic venue of Hunters Inn as the venue for the day. It was my first and hopefully not my last wedding there. The setting was stunning, nestled in a valley on the edge of Exmoor, it was simply an amazing location.
I meet Kate at a local hotel a short drive up the hill from the venue for the bridal prep, from there she was transported in a classic Morris Minor the short drive to the Hunters Inn.
After the ceremony it was out into the grounds of the venue for some drinks and nibbles for the guests, whilst Kate, Harry and myself headed off out for a portrait shots on the headland overlooking the Bristol Channel in a location I had spotted previously on an earlier visit to the venue. After that it was back down to the Hunters Inn for the celebrations to really begin.
After any good meal a walk was in order and that’s what we all did. A short walk we found ourselves down at Heddons Mouth beach accessible from the venue. Shocking I know but it’s one place I have never been to, so a real treat for me and a place I will certainly be visiting again soon.
The evening entertainment was a two part affair. First off was an impromptu open mike session from the families then Pete Robinson took over on the decks for some old school tunes to dance the night away to.
As I said the weather wasn’t the greatest for the time of year but as i left the venue and headed home I was treated to one of the most amazing sunsets i have seen this year. The sky just exploded with colour..
Huge huge congratualtions guys and I wish you both all the very best for the future.
