You know when you meet clients for the first time and you just know you are going to get along and that their wedding is going to be awesome, well that’s how I felt when I first meet Kim and Andy, then when we did the pre wedding photoshoot a few weeks ago I just knew their wedding day was going to be a special one.
So Saturday came and and the sun shone (well for nearly all of the day anyway!!) and what a wedding it was..
My day started in the Tunnels own accommodation of The Bath House, a stunning place to start your wedding. The girls had already been to Shine salon in the town to have their hair done and Rachel from Isabelle Grace MUA was on hand at the Bath House for Kim’s makeup, always a pleasure to work with Rachel, her work is amazing and Kim looked stunning the entire day..
The boys were floating around the bath house too, so I was able to help out with button holes and grab some shots of them too, which is always a nice bonus.
The newly extended venue at the tunnels is stunning but today as the sun shone, it looked even better.
With the sun shining down on the ceremony and the gentle noise of the ocean in the distance, it’s hard to believe this was North Devon.
After the ceremony it was time to celebrate, drinks and canapés on the terrace, family informal photo’s in front of the gazebo, then onto the beach for some bridal party photo’s and of course the couple portraits.
With a low tide that day we were able to make full use of the beach and the adjoining ladies tidal pool, the couple were even brave enough to walk the wall for one of my favourites shots of the day.
Soon the guests were being seated for the gourmet BBQ, speeches read and toasts given..
Sadly this is when the rain showed up, but this didn’t dampen the atmosphere, in fact by the time the band had set up there was a serious party atmosphere going on and with the high energy given off by the band the dance floor was packed for every song..
As the night drew on I was able to grab the couple for a few final shots at the entrance to the Tunnels, from here I bid my farewells and left the couple to part the night away..
Huge congratulations to Kim and Andy, such an amazing day, thank you for asking me to part of it.
Enjoy the images
