The Woolacombe Bay Hotel holds so many fond memories for me, I have shot many great weddings there plus it was my venue when I got married some years ago.
So when Ginny and Mark asked me to shoot their Woolacombe Bay wedding I got excited.
Our first proper meeting including the complimentary pre wedding shoot was on Woolacombe beach in some very unreasonable conditions, sand blasted from the winds and soaked from the rain. That didn’t stop the love these guys had for each other shining through and I knew it was going to be an amazing day.
Having had Stuart my second shooter the previous day I dragged him along to help out again today, I started the day with the bridal covering the bridal prep shots and I left Stuart to photograph all the details Ginny had put into dressing the Lancaster Suite and to head off in search of the groom.
The ceremony was held in beautiful Lundy View room, which overlooks the hotels spectacular ground and sea beyond.
As the weather wasn’t 100% perfect at the end of the ceremony, the drinks reception was held downstairs in the hotel near the Lancaster suite.
With the ever amazing Sorrelli Strings providing some gorgeous background music..
Eventually we headed out onto the lawns and found some shelter from the sea winds to get some family informal shots and a series of beautiful couple portraits.
After the meals and speeches we took a stroll down the beach and with the help of Stuart as my lighting man I was able to get some stunning beach portraits. Thank you.
The rest of the evening was spent dancing the night away in Lancaster suite to Jp Leisure disco.
Thank you guys for such an amazing day and allowing Stuart and I to be part of it.
We both wish you all the very best for the future.
