I have known Kirsty and Beag for years, in fact Kirsties Mum was the school dinner lady at my Primary school and Beag grew up just around the corner from me in Woolacombe, so to be asked shoot their wedding was a big honour.
The day started in the skate park in Ilfracombe. It was pretty made to see the groom, his best man and ushers carving up the park in their wedding outfits. All went well until the Groom got a little brave on a slippery wall of the bowl and ended up sliding down on his knees. Yeap, one pair of wedding trousers with a hole in them. Opps.. But it didn’t dampen the day at all. In fact the day just got better and better.
After a manic time at the brides parents house for the bridal prep it was onto my local church of St Sabinus and a beautiful ceremony conducted by the ever engaging Rev Giles King-Smith, it’s not often I go to church anymore but I always love hearing his ceremonies.
The bride and groom had arrived in style care of two custom hot rod cars, very jealous to say the least. After the ceremony we took the Ford Zodiac across the seafront in Woolacombe to grab a few shots over looking Combesgate beach, which just happened to be Beag favourite surfing beach.
After getting some attention from passers by it was off to the reception at a local caravan and camping site for a mad haters themed tea party reception and what a fanatic spread they put on too. For a new venue for weddings it was a real credit to them.
The evening was them spent dancing it away in the large barn on site.
Kirstie and beag I wish you both all the very best for the future. Huge huge congratulations guys.
