Dave and Naomi’s wedding was slightly different from my normal wedding, just a short day with coverage of the ceremony, the speeches and some informal candid portraits of the happy couple on my favourite beach.
They chose Woolacombe’s St Sabinus church as the venue and reception for their day. St Sabinus is my home church and one I grew up in, but Giles the normal vicar was away so Naomi’s Dad conducted the ceremony, which to me is something very special. Not many can say that their dad married them..
The whole day had an Alice in Wonderland tea party theme to it so plenty of homemade cakes and treats were on hand.
The sermon during the service also had a visual display of the turning of water into wine (Ok, so it’s was really a science lesson using several chemicals, hence the googles, but it was fun none the less.)
After the ceremony Dave, Naomi and myself were able to sneak away to the beach for a few portrait shots. Amazingly the weather was perfect that day and the beach not too crowded, although the local lifeguards did spot the happy couple and wished their congratulations over the loudhailer so the whole beach could hear!!!
Then it was back up to the church for the speeches and reception.
Huge congratulations guys and I wish you both al the very best for the future.
