My first wedding of 2016 was Jenny and Olivers beautiful wedding at the stunning venue of St Audries house in Somerset at the end of Feb.
I was fortunate enough to not only be the wedding photographer but also a guest for the day too, a rare treat indeed and what a day it was too, cold as cold can be but dry and sunny.
The day started with bridal prep in the main house where the girls got ready in a whirlwind of children, hairdressers and MUA. The boys opt for a cooked breakfast and leisure morning in one of the adjoining properties at St Audries house.
A short horse and carriage ride up the drive is the venue’s own church, where Oliver was awaiting along with several members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra who performed a song written by the groom.
After the ceremony it was back down the main house for drinks and canapés before some family informal images in venue’s grounds.
Before we all sat down for the meal I took the couple out for some couples portraits, such a beautiful location for them too.
As the sunset the band set up and we danced the night away. Highlights for me were members of Sorrelli Strings (Jenny and her sisters string quartet – http://www.sorrellistrings.com/) and some classic air trumpet going down…
So as we fast approach Jenny and Olivers first wedding anniversary, here’s wishing them the hugest of congratulations and it was such an honour to be your wedding photographer.
Enjoy the images.
Nothing like a cheeky “riding on the back of the horse and carriage” selfie..
