Way back last year around early June I shared with a you a few preview images from the stunning wedding of Susie and Steve. Well finally today i am getting around to posting a full set of images from their day.
The wedding was very DIY orientated, Susie and Steve spent a long time collecting shells, logs, jugs, basically everything to decorate the reception venue. Just check out the images to see how much work went into it. I was amazed to be honest and when I saw the reception venue on the day I was blown away with how cool it all looked. Much respect to Susie and Steve for this feat alone.
As for the wedding, well, the day started on Saunton beach with the boys taking a very misty surf. Needless to say I couldn’t really capture much of the action from the shoreline, which was a massive shame.
But the boys had loads of fun and I did get a few all important shots. No not of my feet. I mean the classic boys together shot.
After this it was out to meet Susie and her girls at their house for the few final bits of bridal prep and flower arranging!! Yeap Susie did all her own flowers. Soon the wedding car was waiting outside to take the girls to the wedding. We had originally planned to pop down to Susie’s stables to have some shots with her horse, but like the early morning weather Natty wasn’t playing ball and refused to come out of her stable on the other side of the field! So back in Billy Bo-Jangles and off to the Watersmeet Hotel for the ceremony.
As ever the Watersmeet Hotel looked amazing and put on a wonderful ceremony and reception on the lawn after. As the weather was now on the turn for the better Susie, Steve and myself were able to use the private steps in the hotel to head down to Combesgate beach for a few bridal portrait shots.
After this is, it was back out to a farm complex on the outskirts of Braunton for the main reception and evening function. Before the meal we were able to take advantage of the up turn in the weather and explore the gardens of the venue for some more shots.
It was a such a relaxed atmosphere to the day that it pretty much flew by and before I knew it the band were setting up and Susie was taking to the stage to sing a song to new husband Steve.. Such a beautiful moment I was proud to witness. The rest of the evening was spent dancing the night away to the bands top tunes.
Recently Susie and Steve wedding was featured in Wed Magazine. SOmething I am very proud of as it’s my second featured wedding in this publication.
Congratulations guys, I wish you both all the very best for the future.

Wedding ceremony held at Watersmeet Hotel, Woolacombe.
The evening entertainment was coutresy of the local band The Alchemists Band. A great band playing all manner of hits, in a very typical North Devon style.
